Bob Latford

Legends in Brief

Bob Latford (July 29, 1935 – July 23, 2003) was a NASCAR historian, statistician and publicist. He devised the championship points system NASCAR used from 1975 to 2010, and he began his career selling programs on the Daytona beach course in 1946 — a life in the sport from its beaches to its record books. His resting place is unrecorded.
