John Andretti, nephew of Mario, was one of the few drivers to win in both Indy cars and NASCAR, taking two Winston Cup victories including the 1997 Pepsi 400 at Daytona and the 1999 race at Martinsville. He also won an IndyCar race and competed in 12 Indianapolis 500s.
Diagnosed with colon cancer in 2017, Andretti became an advocate for screening through the '#CheckIt4Andretti' campaign. He died in 2020 at 56, and his advocacy work continues to save lives.
