Ray Hendrick

Legends in Brief

Ray Hendrick (1929–1990) was a Virginia short-track great who won hundreds of Modified and Late Model Sportsman races across the South, mostly in the famous No. 11 'Flying 11'. He built his name at home, on the South's short tracks, rather than on the national tour, and rarely raced outside his home region. He rests at Westhampton Memorial Park and Cremation Park in Tuckahoe, Virginia.
