Bobby Hamilton

Driver Profiles

Bobby Hamilton won four Winston Cup races, including an emotional 2001 victory at Talladega, and captured the 2004 Craftsman Truck Series championship as an owner-driver – one of the few to win a NASCAR title while owning the team.

Diagnosed with head and neck cancer in 2006, Hamilton died in January 2007 at 49. His son Bobby Hamilton Jr. carried on the family team, and Hamilton is remembered as a racer's racer who did it his own way.
